Eastern Star Golf Course

Eastern Star's links-style course, which is located near the Gulf of Thailand, is one of only five Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed courses in Thailand. The Eastern Star Country Club & Resort's Pattaya golf course is built on 530 acres of land and meanders through charming residential areas.

The course is a popular local favorite, with large fairways and hundreds of coconut palm trees. There are 65 bunkers, 11 lakes, and almost 2,200 coconut palm trees on the gently undulating fairways and greens. The golf resort is strategically located just 2 kilometers from the sea, ensuring a steady wind of fresh air. It's only a few feet above sea level, just like a true links course.

Local and regional golf competitions have been held at Eastern Star. It provides a challenging environment for seasoned golfers while also providing delight for beginners. This Pattaya golf course is a "thinking man's course" that can be navigated successfully with some thought and well-placed shots. The holes are defined by tall mature coconut trees and few mango trees, which are complemented with flower-filled areas. The 18 fairways of Eastern Star have multiple doglegs and a lot of water.

The golf course is fairly lengthy, especially when played from the championship blue tees. The gorgeous par 3 thirteenth hole is the hallmark hole, and it lulls golfers into savoring the environment. To avoid the deep bunker or the lake on the right side of the green, an accurate tee shot over water is required. The aim is to play to the center or slightly to the left of the green. However, sand and deep rough are located too far to the left. Negotiating a tricky down-hill putt over the green is required. Look back from the green for a completely new perspective on the hole if it seems frightening from the tee.

With its wide fairways, this is a course that will appeal to both novice and seasoned golfers. In addition to a basic clubhouse with a wide range of amenities such as an Olympic-sized beach pool, tennis courts, and locker rooms, there is an excellent practice area and driving range. Like most Thai golf courses, the restaurant serves a broad variety of dishes at low costs. For a refreshing drink after the round, try a fruit smoothie.
