The A-GoGo bar is pretty much what created the city we now know of as Pattaya. The transformation from sleepy fishing village to the current vast metropolis was mostly driven by the demand for A-GoGo's created during the Vietnam War when the American Soldiers started taking their Leave in Pattaya.
There are now around a 100 A-GoGo's in Pattaya mainly located in three main areas.
The infamous Walking Street being the location where the majority of the A-GoGo's are located. These are mostly staffed with Thai ladies although a small but increasing number are staffed with Russian ladies.
Next just along the beach road we come to Soi's 13/3 and 13/4 in the area commonly known as 'Boyz Town'. The A-GoGo's and Clubs here are mostly staffed by Thai Boys and Lady Boys and is mainly aimed at the Gay audience.
Finally there is LK Metro. This is a lot smaller than walking street and is more frequented by the ex-pat community who want to get away from the hoards of tourists you get in Walking Street in Tour groups just walking up and down taking pictures.
