The Waterside Course at Siam Country Club in Pattaya is the club's third layout. Most holes on the Waterside Course focus on environmental waste areas and straightforward holes. The course is strategically designed, with various lakes and creeks in play. The back tees, which are almost 7,400 yards long, will test even the best golfers. At the same time, different tees, ranging from 500 to 5,000 yards, are available for players of all skill levels to enjoy.<br />The fairways are grassed with a new Paspalum grass species, and the greens are an ultra-dwarf Bermuda grass. Water frames the last three holes of each nine. Because all of the greens are almost flush with the fairways, going up and down is a viable option for most players.
The 17th, a lengthy 600-yard par-5, offers big hitters the choice of cutting around a dogleg left over water to reach the green in two or a simple, but still challenging shot over a deep ravine to reach the green in regulation. The Waterside clubhouse is modern and contemporary in style, with all of the amenities you'd expect from a premier golf club. A 180-degree panorama of the surrounding valley may be seen from the clubhouse. Golfers may view how the course, lakes, creeks, and landscaping merge seamlessly with the natural land formations from the terrace.
The well-stocked pro store, superb locker rooms and changing places, and top-notch restaurant serving Thai and international cuisine all contribute to the overall unique experience. Near the clubhouse, there is an 18-hole putting course that can be played for as low as THB 100 and is a fun way to settle some bets.
